The electronic scanning achieved with Digital Beam forming, shall make RADAR more ECCM enabled and perform better search and track operations. NSS developed Digital Beamforming IP Core that supports DSP, FPGA, Processor can be used in realizing efficient Phased array radar systems

Key Features

  • IP core has the capability of working with single FPGA architecture or in a multi FPGA architecture (on same card or different cards), where instances of IP core will be run on each FPGA.
  • Options to model the elements of antenna array independently or can be grouped into subarrays of configuration.
  • Options to control the side lobe level of the beam responses.
  • Options to place nulls in the interference direction.
  • IP core has the capability of generating 32 simultaneous beams (this can be modified based on the availability of the resources).
  • Options to disable sub array/elements in the array for performance analysis.
  • Monopulse output can be directly generated
  • Coefficient computation in real time with in 250 usec for 512 elements.
  • Coefficient updation in real time to support below modes of operation.
  • Search over given Az & El ranges
