UART
NSS has large class of UART cores for both ASIC and FPGA platforms. Based on the targeted application, area and timing performance the UART cores are categorized in to two types.
- Low weight and high speed UART
- Robust UART with greater noise immunity
Our low weight UART cores allow the designers to provide serial interface to PC and processor platforms by consuming a fractional area on FPGA. In addition to the area advantage these cores can provide very high baud rates.
The robust class of UARTs are designed considering long distance communications under high noise levels. These cores occupy few more FPGA cells for implementing special DSP techniques for recovering the signal even under high noise conditions.
